My last 2 bicycles were Ridgeback Flight 02 (2009) Ridgeback Flight 03 (2011) as my last bicycle was just stolen I am looking for replacement it needs to be -XL sieze (I am 194cm/6.2) -flat bar -700c 25-28 wheels -hydraulic disc brakes -sportive (NOT mtb) drive - under £1000 I am considering Ridgeback Flight 03 Boardman Bikes : Hybrid : PRO Specialized Sirrus Comp Disc Hybrid Bike - 2013 which one would you reccomend maybe some other choices? |

A little more detail about the sort of riding you do would help here, but I'd guess, given the detail you've given that a hybrid based on a cyclocross frame, with an internal hub might be a good fit. This will keep your maintenance costs down a bit and may (may) look a bit less attractive to thieves. A built off the peg option of this sort that I've been looking at is the Genesis Day 01 with Shimano's Alfine group (http://www.genesisbikes.co.uk/bikes/cross/day-01/day-01-alfine), it has disc brakes, and can be had with either drop or flat bars. But again, hard to tell for sure if this is right without a bit more detail as to your typical usage. |
