The freewheel is a ratcheting mechanism, that coupled with a set of gears, is that threaded onto the rear hub of a bike. The freewheel allows the rear wheel to engage and move when the pedals are spun forward, but coast freely when the pedals are stationary or spun backwards.

Jamis beatnik flip flop

I have a 2011 beatnik and I'm thinking of putting a freewheel cog on the other side of the hub. Any suggestions on which cogs are good as well as spacing? I have about 3/4" to play with. Thanks
