I have been a computer geek for pretty much as long as I can remember. I first got into computers when my original hobby of electronics started getting too expensive for my pocket money, and have since managed to turn my hobby into my career. I like to keep up with the latest in technology, and how to apply it to what I am working on.

Employer Duty of Care for cyclist Very good answer, especially from the perspective of looking at the problem both from employee and management perspectives. |

What should a big guy look for when buying a road bike? @Jens sadly my "95+" is closer to 110kg! After what I have out the Krysium through, I am more than happy to buy them again. |

What should a big guy look for when buying a road bike? I have had really good experiences with the Mavic Krysium wheels (bicycles.stackexchange.com/questions/3618/…) a bit more expensive than the Aksium, but tough as bricks, just a lot lighter! |

Why participate in an organized century ride when I can ride the route on my own? I would go further, for myself, even though I could (probably!) do this on my own, I think that a ride like this would be great fun! I have done similar on my motorbike, and in cars… it is always a festive time. |

Safest way to slow down a bike quickly if both sets of brakes fail "Barbed wire should be avoided"… talk about understatement! i have a friend with scars after twenty years after coming off a motorbike into a barbed wire fence. |

Are bananas still a good food to carry when cycling? Ah, yes, but are they European or African cyclers? |

What are the differences between “clincher” and “tubular” tires? Fix up spelling error in title. I know that it is one letter, but it is annoying, since it also means that it shows up in the URL |

What is the maximum weight that “normal” racing wheels can withstand? Where did you see the information about that limit? I have looked on the Mavic website, and cannot find it. Their user guide (mavic.com/sites/default/files/download/…) also does not mention it. |
