I am a retired Engineering Lecturer. My hobbies are Cycling, Golf, Gardening and a bit of DIY. I do all of my own cycle adjustments and repairs unless it requires any expensive tools like headset presses.
I cycle raced as a junior and retired from racing mostly road and time trials when I was 30. I cycle now for enjoyment, fitness and to keep my weight under control.

Why does my bike make a noise when I pedal hard? Daniel, we are talking about the same thing. The bolts hold the chain rings and the crank arms generally with about 4/5 bolts depending on the manufacturer. |

SRAM force upgrade from compact to standard 53-39 New chain rings 39/53 will not fit on a compact crank arm as the dcb is larger. You will have to buy a new chain set to fit your existing BB and increase the chain length with the excess chain from the one fitted. |
