comment Panniers or rack bags for photography equipment
There is a special camera insert for the ortlieb handlebar bag and it isn't that much smaller than the front roller really. However, I can't unreservedly recommend it as I've had a lot of problems with the button fastenings.

comment Little bit of water under plastic cover on my shimano shifters
It rains so much here I think I have moisture in my shifter windows most of the time. :)

comment Why don't most MTBs have rear shocks?
@Starx I have a fully and I love it. I wouldn't go back. For me, the ride quality more than makes up for the additional maintenance.

comment Headphones with low wind noise?
I just found this question from google and I'm disappointed not to see a useful answer, ie. one that addresses the actual problem of wind noise.

comment Is it worth switching from regular “rim brakes” to the new disk brakes?
@Random832 The problem is that regardless of rotor size, the braking force must be transferred through the whole fork not just from the crown area. Ordinary forks are not designed for this. I don't think the frame design would matter.

comment What's the easiest way to insert a star nut into a steerer tube?
If you do mess it up, you can always drill through the nut to save yourself blushes at the shop. It comes out pretty easily then.

comment How to find a bell that works well in the rain?
@freiheit That's very true in continental Europe but in the UK, pedestrians are as confused by a bell as they are by the cycle lanes.

My legs can't pedal and absorb shocks simultaneously.

comment How should I set up my rear shock (with ProPedal) to minimise bob when climbing?
No I've only been out on the road bike. Rest assured I shall return with the data soon.

comment How should I set up my rear shock (with ProPedal) to minimise bob when climbing?
Yes I will try this, also moz's suggestion to time myself in each setting.

comment How should I set up my rear shock (with ProPedal) to minimise bob when climbing?
@sillyyak Well yes you would think that but I don't know what each level actually means and as I said the manual is vague, e.g. 'switch positions and select a setting that reduces suspension movement most effectively'. It doesn't even commit to whether propedal being on or off will reduce movement more.

@moz Timing a climb is a good idea. I suppose as long as I use the same gear each time it would be a reasonably equal test. @sillyyak The bike is an '08 Rocky Mountain Element 30.
