Hello,
I'm primarily a web app developer (LAMP) living in the UK, but I'm interested in lots of other technologies, most of which are open source.
Currently I'm tinkering with my Arduino when I'm not doing PHP for $. I'm actively learning C and am interested in new languages and stuff.

What sort of bottom bracket does a Trek 1.5 2011 take? I bought this: Shimano BB-UN55 Bottom Bracket British Thread 68-110mm and it worked a treat :) |

What inner tube do I need for this tyre? Well it's the first puncture I've had with this bike.. totally agree about having spare tubes.. trying to patch a hole is frustrating, time consuming and mucky. Good idea about the gloves too! |

What inner tube do I need for this tyre? Is there a metric equivalent? Finding one for my road bike was easy but this seems to be a weird tyre.. |

Using WD40 for cleaning (not lubricating..) I've already de-greased it - maybe no point in WD40-ing it.. :) Any thoughts on lubing before greasing? |

Road bike for a 10 day trip in the Pyrenees and French rivera and other questions Important: Don't think you'll get away putting things in a rucksack and riding.. you'll regret doing that if you ignore this advice!! |

Road bike for a 10 day trip in the Pyrenees and French rivera and other questions evanscycles.com/products/trek/15-c-h2-2013-road-bike-ec040343 It's £850 apparently.. sorry. There are similar models with not so good features that are probably almost as good. |

Road bike for a 10 day trip in the Pyrenees and French rivera and other questions With no training in the mountains it'll be quite painful I suspect regardless of what bike you have. |

Identifying bottom bracket Upon contacting Trek they confirmed it's a 68x110mm square taper bottom bracket. I'll confirm it went ok once I find time to order it and try and fit it! Having said that, I'll probably just try removing it first and checking. |

Identifying bottom bracket Thanks for a really complete answer :) I feel a bit more confident this will go right.. I've contacted Trek and if they can give me the info then I'll paste it here so that others may find out what's in their bike! |

What sort of bottom bracket does a Trek 1.5 2011 take? I'm not a cycling expert.. I'm guessing the only real way to be sure of what I need is to literally remove the bottom bracket and see what size it is? I would have thought there'd be an easier way but Trek seem to not want to publicise what components are in my bike... does anyone have any solid evidence of what's in there? I've read a few conflicting things on the internet.. not sure really. |
