Can I use an inner tube that's too narrow for the tyre? My LBS is a Halfords, they mostly sell car parts and accessories with a small cycling section. They didn't have the right size. My other LBS isn't all that local and other than Saturday is only open when I'm at work. |

Can I use an inner tube that's too narrow for the tyre? I've mail-ordered some tubes that are the correct size, waiting for them to be delivered. In the meantime I'm not sure whether or not to try the narrow tube. |

Are there any drivetrain components designed and sold to last longer? According to this survey average distance cycled in a week is 17 miles, which would be under 900 miles per year. So for you average cyclist a chain would last 2 years, a rear cassette 5.5 years and a chainset 11 years. |
