How do I find out which channel size I need in my seat? Koobi is another option. They give you a trial period with a full refund available. Going to a shop and trying out a number of saddles is always best. Make sure to ride/spin for a bit on your bike with each saddle you try. |

Daily commuting - are dietary supplements recommended? My commute is up hill both ways too. I have about 500ft of change both ways. I work on one side of a valley and live on the other. |

What is the best breakfast right before cycling? I usually eat something like a granola fruit bar before my commute, but I take a snack to eat once I am at work. I usually eat that snack while working, instead of surfing, but that is just me. :P I also tend to eat a granola bar just before my commute home to make sure I have a bit of sugar before my ride. |

How to find the vertical height between any two points? @moz I can't be sure but I think that @Roflcoptr is looking to figure out the change in elevation on a route they are either riding or looking to ride. If one is commuting elevation change can be an important consideration. But I agree in its current form this is not a very good question for bicycles.stackexchange |

What's the purpose of cycling gloves? They also are nice protection if you fall and try to catch yourself with your palms. |

Looking for Techniques for Riding Uphill on a Single Speed I hear you on the geared bike idea, @M.Werner. I only ran into this hill problem when I moved from a flat area to a mountainous one. I started riding SS when I didn't have to worry about hills and needing other gears and now I enjoy the simplicity with not needing to think about gears. |
