Installation of the simplex SX410 I tried this many times, all to no avail. Took the bike to a shop and got it fixed now! I still don't know what was wrong though |

How many ball bearings to put in an axis? The vaseline I'm talking about came from a hardware shop (it's not the luvvy-duvvy kind of pink gel), it's a thick yellow paste. I'm also talkin about the ball bearing inside the pedals, do these get hot too? |

How many ball bearings to put in an axis? I did count them, but I had one axle where a couple of them broke. I couldn't make out how many broke and so how many to put back in.. |

Installation of the simplex SX410 The tension of the lower one is good. It's the upper Allan key bolt I'm worried about, the one that anchors the derailleur to the frame. The derailleur does snap up like it should, but with too little power. I'm confused about how to wind this spring (there is this little steel bit that goes in between the frame anchor point and the derailleur, that acts as a limit for the upper position, yet I don't know how to us that). |

Best brake pads for long distance travelling? thanks for the tip; but my question was really aimed at the "type" of brake pad. One has a choice of many things (one kind of rubber, three kinds of rubber, hard rubber, soft rubber,...) |
