comment Which rim tape for 700x28 tires?
ok, i looked to buy those... there are a million types and i have no idea which one i need before I take my tire out :( and i only want to do that when i'm ready to put it back on and not remove it until the next flat :) will use tape this time and see if i remember to take notes for the future. thanks

i know all that :) just want to know if a tape width of 17mm on a rim that i can measure the outside as over 23mm will be too thin and move around exposing a nibble or not... don't want to 1. remove tire. 2. buy tape. 3. measure and see it is not a good fit.

Nice! never heard of those before... but don't see how they protect around the steam (not that tape does a great job there either)

comment derailleur P-screw/B-screw does absolutely nothing
very good point! I did not check the spring strenght when i renewd the derailleur. I am using it as is and set it up so that it only grinds in the very lowest combinations (which i rarely use for my comute).. but as soon as i have to open it up again for lube/mud removal, i will surelly check it up and update here if that was the case.

The light i have looks like it is planet bike, but it is not. it is just 1mm too deep and 0.5mm too thin. damn china.

after trying both options from Daniel i'm now considering 3d printing... :/ sucks that there are no standards for those things. Damn all those companies.

comment derailleur P-screw/B-screw does absolutely nothing
@joseph_morris ok, came back at this, again :) last time i adjusted the H and L screws as best as I could. and really, the cogs only grind now when using lowest in front and lowest in back. so i was avoiding this [in the 2 times i was able to ride since then :(] and well, the b-screw is still screwing me. everything seems perfect, but it does nothing. it sits in the correct place on the frame just fine. I think i will have to open the derailleur... but i think for the trouble, i might get a new one... well, i will just avoid the climbs for now :)

eek! i'd avoid having a shifter lever right where i'd grip to break in a panic. I pass.
