Is it worth getting a suspension seat post as a cheap alternative to full suspension bike? Before I spent money on a seat post I'd make sure I had a very comfortable pair of padded shorts and a big jar of chamois cream. Personally I use endura MT500 shorts for the first and assos chamois creme for the second. |

When should I not use my front brake? What may be good advice on a motorbike really isn't on a bicycle. The front brake is far more powerful than the rear on a bike and knowing how to use it a vital skill. Not only does over use of the back brake increase stopping distances it also cuts up the trails when riding off road as people inevitably skid. |

What should I look for in a cycling undershirt for warm weather? And merino has the added advantage of not leaving you smelling like a rancid polecat after a hard day on the bike! |

Can I fit road tyres on a cyclo cross bike? As cyclocross is so often a muddy sport any extra squirm from tyres is negligible! Seriously though I know a few people who have Boardmans and no one is complaining about squirmy tyres. |

Should I oil my seat post? My rule of thumb is that if you want to take it apart later then grease it when you put it together. For some parts, such as bottom bracket, where creaking can be an issue copper slip is often the way to go. |
