What are the benefits of a carbon seatpost? This would be going on a aluminium frame. I do find the ride to be harsh over poor pavement so I'm hoping a carbon seatpost may improve the ride quality. |

How long should a well maintained chain last and what can I do to prolong its life? I'd think of it as something like a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner - it cleans and conditions at the same time. It may not be ideal, but it's good enough for many. |

How is bicycle fit affected by switching from a riser bar to a flat bar? I find that I switch my hand positions every couple of minutes or so - especially when I come to a stop at a traffic light. I use padded gloves from MEC - which are fantastic for the price BTW. |

Converting bike from rim brakes to disc brakes Thanks for the answer! I've been doing some research and the cost of conversion seems quite high, considering I'd need a new 700c disc wheelset in addition to the brakes. :( |
