Is there something particularly wrong with exclusively riding a mountain bike in a city setting? I like the standard. Definition of "Bike Race": Two bicycles going in the same general direction whose riders see one another. |

Adjusting disk brake pad positions One is a Specialized Rockhopper with Avid brakes. I don't remember the other, but it is another brand. I don't know the difference between linear pull or cantilever brakes, but there is a cable the runs down to the calipers -- it's not hydraulic. |

What road bike tire pressure is best for speed? In a rough road, there is a point in the tire pressure where the wheels start bouncing. This would mess up the nice linear resistance at least at that point. I'm not sure what happens beyond there. |

Which puncture-resistant tires? A couple more options are a kevlar or thick liner than you and inside a tire (Tuffy is one brand), and a tube that already has hole sealing gel inside it. Slime makes some. |
