how to repair large holes in inner tubes You shouldn't have a problem with normal Rema patches covering a 3-mm cut. This sounds like an error applying the patch. The thickness of the patch isn't an issue (patches are already thicker and tougher than innertubes). |

Why don't road bikes have disc brakes? No pictures, but this article suggests that Dura Ace will be available with discs: bikeradar.com/news/article/… -- which means they'll probably trickle down to Ultegra and perhaps 105 someday. |

I keep getting flats Right. And in those situations where you can't lay your hands on a basin of water or soap, I've found that the best way to find a subtle leak is to inflate the tube and rotate the tire around until I get the leak to expel air onto my lips--they're more sensitive than anything else, and will pick up jets of air you'd otherwise miss. |
