How can I repair a swollen tire allowing visibility on the inner tube (picture provided)? Thanks @DanielRHicks, your solution of re-inflating the tire with the stem pushed 1/2 an inch inside the tire worked. Sorry for the delay, I had to buy a new pump (the tube from the one I had ripped because of the cold) |

How can I repair a swollen tire allowing visibility on the inner tube (picture provided)? @DanielRHicks Thanks for explaining that, nobody seems to believe me when I say the tire is not torn. As for the picture, it was taken with my cell phone and I didn't manage to get better quality. |

Does a helmet-mounted light affect the safe functionality of the helmet? @freiheit You should have made that an answer. No character limit, unlimited edits, and it takes the same amount of time to write out (plus I think you get more reputation if you're into that sort of thing). |

How can I repair a swollen tire allowing visibility on the inner tube (picture provided)? This would work if the tire had a hole, which is not my case. |

How can I repair a swollen tire allowing visibility on the inner tube (picture provided)? @Benzo What's the worst that can happen? A flat tire? I can live with that. As.. I forget who said: "Don't panic, be wary!" |

How can I repair a swollen tire allowing visibility on the inner tube (picture provided)? I believe it's neither... You see, while the tire is properly seated in the rim at first, it gets pushed out by the tube as I inflate it (I've tried this many times). Also, the tire is not ripped at all. |

Safest way to slow down a bike quickly if both sets of brakes fail +1 for drying the brakes. I really do believe zip-zagging can help though: even if your speed isn't reduced, you get more time to think because you're covering more ground than if you were following a straight line down the hill. |

Safest way to slow down a bike quickly if both sets of brakes fail @Stephen Touset: Using your feet against your back wheel doesn't sound very safe because if you lock the wheel, you lose that wheel's traction to the ground. Using your feet on the ground seems better because you then have four points of contact with the ground. Just my two cents. |

Rolling dismount: leg crosses over in front of you or behind? @Neil, nope, just a regular commuter-cyclist question |

Most favoriable collision with a car? How should I act before collision, supposing enough time? @hhhh I know of two ways to whistle without hands, one where your lips form a tiny "O" which I use to whistle tunes and such, the other where my tongue comes in contact with my lower lip and lets a small amount of air pass between it and my upper teeth... This one is much louder. It's hard to explain in a comment but a google search should give you some tips. I personally started to learn WITH fingers and progressively removed one finger at a time. Ultimately, the fingers help place your tongue, so if you can remove them and keep the same tongue shape, it should work... Good luck! |

Rolling dismount: leg crosses over in front of you or behind? The main reason I end up crossing in front of me is when I have a basket on my luggage rack which is very high and makes passing my leg behind me a pain in the ass. |

Rolling dismount: leg crosses over in front of you or behind? Why do you discourage the rolling dismount? (just curious) |
