Velodrome atmospheric conditions Just curios: Who are "the commentators" in this case? TV people, or ones at the venue etc. At least TV commentators talk a lot on long days. ;-) |

You just had an accident, what's next? "If it's someone else's property, like a car or a mailbox, and there's damage, leave a note with your contact info." - In German jurisdiction just leaving a note might be illegal ("unberechtigtes Entfernen vom Unfallort" / "unauthorized leaving of the accident scene") - You have to try to identify and contact the owner or at least register the accident with the police. - I'm not saying everybody does though .... sometimes their are people witnessing this, though |

What bikes will be used by the competitors in the Mountain Bike Olympics? As addition: I don't know if there's some country-check on that site but German broadcaster ZDF has an interview with German rider Sabine Spitz with some closeups of her bike in studio: zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/hauptnavigation/startseite/#/beitrag/video/… |

Why don't cyclists wear all-encompassing motorcycle-style helmets? Even with traffic speed one should know what happens behind. Mirrors, of course, allow doing that almost unconsciously ;-) |

Why don't Tour de France riders always ride their TT bikes? Ah and here a video of Ullrich in '97 - swapping his bikeduring a time trial - from thel ight ike to climb up the hills to a different machine with different wheels etc. youtube.com/… |

Why don't Tour de France riders always ride their TT bikes? If there weren't so many rules about what bikes are allowed riders might even consider to switch when eing in a break-away-group or something ... like starting ;-) |

Should I get a road bike? So what's the actual, notable benefit of the road bike? And well, I like the "One more than you currently have ..." comment from above, but somehow I have to quantify it "yes, I spent X thousand Euros on a bike" ...and renting, yeah, probably I have to find a place to rend some bike in roughly the price range I'm willing (able) to spend ... I think it isn't useful to get a cheap rental road bike and then being disappointed ... while that might save me money ;-) |
