Why recover with carbohydrates, instead of with protein? @Stephen - the poster did not mention the duration of the ride and for full endurance rides not consuming carbs is strictly more correct. The liver in theory has a two hour store of glycogen. For many people this is "a long ride" |

Why aren't Tour de France riders going any faster? @thiton - Thanks for the clarification. I'll remove my downvote once I can change it. |

Why aren't Tour de France riders going any faster? -1. An increased tailwind on stages heading West-East would assist riders increasing the upward trend in speed. |

Why aren't Tour de France riders going any faster? The race distance has not regressed to the mean, rather it has consitently decreased over the years; see the additional plot in my answer. I downvoted you because the speculation ("I feel...") on doping and technology is not borne out by either chart provided. |

What is the common “vocabulary” for the captain and stoker to communicate? Also 'Bump!' - the effect of the stoker is different from 'Hole' |

Why not place the cleats further back on the foot? Corrected remarks on torque when singlespeeding; it tends to be lower cadence, higher torque than geared riding. |

Why not place the cleats further back on the foot? @John - I haven't had any issues with toe overlap. The only issue I did have was having to move my saddle forwards by an equivalent amount that I had moved the cleats backwards. |
