Disabling back-pedal brake @CareyGregory easier to skid? |

What is the braking (stopping) distance for bicycles? Yeah just about to answer the same. I would also say the road surface and tyre width play a big part too. And of course the classic are you using front or back brake. |

BMX gearing - for road / commuting Have a play around with this sheldonbrown.com/gears and to be honest your best bet is to work out what gearing is right for yourself. If you have someone with a higher gear ratio try a spin on their bike and see how it fits and work from that |

How to avoid riding on a gravel on the road sides? + Riding through traffic lights Out of interest where are you from? Not being able to claim the lane sounds dangerous but then again if you're from russia according to youtube no where on the road is safe :) |

I'm lost with all the names of bike parts flying around! No offence but what do you need that you can't get from your LBS? Unless track cycling is non existent by you I'd imagine they would have all the parts necessary, the only difference between a fixie and standard bike is the rear hub |

Is this rim safe? Yeah I think it should be fine it's a 40mm deep rim and just looks as cheap as it was |

Correct riding position on a road bike Yeah that's why I was considering the layback seatpost. Since my stem is already inline with my front hub. I've heard that having the seat behind the BB can affect performance. |

Will a track wheel work with the dropouts on my frame? Ah crap forgot to type spacers, I figure 2mm on the sprocket side and 5mm on the non drive side. To keep chainline straight |

Biopace chain rings and front deraileur rub Apologies zenbike I added the video as another another view of the problem. @Daniel R Hicks Yup quality pretty shite. I can't really see much of the chain ring being bent. How can I test and if needs be fix? |

Efficient gear shifting Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm a masher out of habit. I do have a new goal of getting larger distances under my belt and upping my endurance since it's pretty meh atm. |

geared to fixied options Pretty dead set on fixed. I've seen some drop out conversion kits but I'm a little dubious of them. Then again they may be my only option if I do not want a slack chain |

what to look for when buying bicycle pants @DanielRHicks Yeah I know, but many ppl have the mini kryptos attached to their jeans and no doubt a few $60 locks have been lost due to Jean rippage. Perhaps a viable alternative, can't say till I try them. However my krypto is huge so it stays in the backpack. On the topic of wearing locks However I the levi's do have a few features I like, water resistance and reflective tape. Thou I do believe this is levi's cashing in on the rise of cycling. Blame hipsters! |

what to look for when buying bicycle pants 150 quid for trousers! They look the part but my problem is how they will hold up to the weather and general dirt from the bike |
