Can't remove crank arm on older Mercier You will most likely destroy the cotter getting it out. Bring the cotter or pin to your local bike shop. They come in several sizes and matching it is easier if you have the old one. |

Triace bikes are comparable with? I wasn't commenting on the on the corporate policies of manufacturers only that some companies that do make quality bikes choose to sell low quality models only at Walmart and not at their franchised bike shops. |

Triace bikes are comparable with? Just because Walmart sells some lowend bikes under the GT brand doesn't mean all GT's are lowend. |

Triace bikes are comparable with? That may be true for some models. Walmart also sells "name brand" GT,Diamondback etc. However if you check the websites of those brands they don't list the Walmart models. They get the name recognition at a lower price point. I would look for component quality. |

Did I buy the wrong mountain bike? If you wipe the top of the fork between rides you can get an idea of how far you are compressing the fork. Some folks put a loose wire tie on it and measure the amount of deepest compression. I just look at the dirt marks. As your skill and confidence grow you may notice that you are getting closer to bottoming out. Until you reach that point your stock fork should be enough. |
