How to get back on the road again? I would definitely learn to confidently side-hop left or right. This will allow you to stay at whatever speed you are doing, does not require much of change of direction, and once you're good you will be able to hop vertical and horizontal distances of 10cm with no trouble. I used it almost daily on commutes in Bristol, UK and London to get up and down high curbs. |

Solid Foam Rubber Inner Tubes For Mountain Bikes Not sure why you got down voted, it might be because of the duplicate. Best to search first. But welcome anyhow, we're no all grumpy with new folks :) |

Should I sell a custom built mountain bike as a full bike or break it into parts? @kibbee Yea totally agree, stripping only works well on eBay. |

Why are single-speed bikes with disc brakes hard to find? Check out the On-One Pompetamine. Love mine :) |

What does “claiming the lane” mean? +1 Yep that's how I see it. It's necessary in London sometimes to avoid being squashed and when traffic is usually moving slower than you are so wont get irritated and try dangerous overtaking. I most often claim the lane at traffic lights and roundabouts. |

Minimum mountain groupset hard enough to resist abuse Hi, this will be tricky to answer without more info about your riding style. Can you let us know: "riding harder" uphill or downhill or much longer distances or much gnarlier terrain. For example: If you're becoming a strong uphill rider we don't want to be recommending Saint for example ;) - this questions will attract subjective answers so might be kicked off anyhow.. but we'll see! |

Is it possible to transport many (up to 12) bikes using some sort of auto-trailer? If you google Image search "uplift trailer" you'll see loads! I reckon there will be someone offering hireable trailers. You might be able to purchase one second-hand from an uplift service that deals with Downhill Mountain Bikers. |

Why are higher-end freewheels so much louder when coasting? Lound freehub's seem to give the impression of a positive pawl action. I know that the best all-round MTB hubs I've run are Hope Pro's, and are 'BMX' loud. On that note, noisy BMX freewheels are considered desirable :) |
