I've been riding and fixing bikes with varying levels of success since I was knee high to a grasshopper.

These days most of my cycling is urban commuting and road riding, but I do manage to take my duallie out for a blat around the trails every once in a while.

comment Rear hub-adjuster thing - What does it do?
Given that it is a single speed, it could be a chain tensioner. But as the other commenters have said, a picture would help.

comment What should I look for in a good pair of cycling shorts?
In Australia, Netti and their other brands (Cinetica, etc) are reasonably good value for money. I've also found the nike cycling wear to be quite good quality. But there are plenty of good brands out there.

comment How do you adjust the set-up of road bike brakes for women with small hands
My girlfriend had her bike serviced today and got the little spacers fitted. Apparently it has made the world of difference and she now feels much more in control on the brakes.
