Is it OK to use coffee or other drinks to clean road rash? @jimirings: Sugar, and concentrated solutions of it such as honey, are effective against germs because they suck the water out of them by osmosis, and that kills them. Dilute solutions of sugar, such as Gatorade or iced coffee, won't have that effect. |

How many headset spacers might I need? I don't have access to a trainer, sadly. Makes sense to get a variety set, though, and very good point about leaving some spare above the stem! |

What are the advantages of investment casting? You're slightly mistaken about the disadvantages of other techniques: forged parts are typically stronger than cast parts, not weaker. I imagine forged frame parts are rare because of the much greater expense of the tooling, particularly for complex shapes, relative to casting, rather than because of any mechanical inferiority. |
