Heavier Thicker Chains and Gears for Winter due to Salt? I would add that I have found it helpful to put the lube on and let the bike sit overnight on the stand so it will penetrate, and then wipe it off the next morning before I head out on my commute. |

Best bike lock I use this lock and it is very small. To avoid carrying a cable for my wheels, I use Pitlocks (pitlock.com) on my wheels, seatpost, and even to secure the cap on my threadless stem. It's nice to be able to grab the frame at any convenient point and not worry about taking the wheels off or trying to fit them in. |

What type of tires can prevent goatheads? I tried some solid core tires years ago and had a problem with them rolling off the rim in turns--it was pretty disconcerting. Is that still a problem or has it been taken care of? Or was I just trying to ride them too aggressively? |

Slow leak on front cruiser tire Be sure to bend and flex the casing of the tire because I have seen bits of glass get embedded in the tire (and cause slow leaks like this) but not be visible unless the tire is flexed to show it, but putting a tube under pressure inside the tire was enough for it to make contact with the glass and rub a hole. |
