Why is it safer to bike with traffic, instead of facing oncoming cars? When I did a lot of cross-country touring in my foolish youth, we always invested in good quality rear-view mirrors to deal with the unexpected overtaking vehicle problem. After a few days experience and one unexpected logging truck, I was completely sold and would no more ride without a mirror than without a helmet. |
