Creaking from cranks/spindle. How to fix? creaking sounds are usually hard to isolate just by listening.. Can you describe more about how you reproduce the noise? Only while pedaling, only when stand pedaling, only when putting pressure to the pedals versus just spinning, etc |

How do I reduce slack in the chain of a single-speed bicycle? @jensgram - good point.. I've found that typically once you tighten down, the wheel will usually stay aligned, but keeping it inline while tightening isn't a bad idea :) |
