What can I do to help me sustain frequent long-ish rides? The best answer I think. To make a minor additional comment regarding pace - I too ride to and from work and on the way to work I ride as slowly as needed to avoid sweating, then on the way home I ride as hard as I can to maximize the workout. The thinking here is I'd rather not be tired and stinky at work, whereas when I get home I can take a shower and rest immediately. |

About 20-30 people bike to where I work. What equipment/supplies should we have on hand? I'd also include torx ("star") wrenches. Those are far harder to find than hex wrenches, and are commonly used on disc-brake assemblies. |

Fixed gear Biking, how to ride properly? +1, I like that analogy. |

Fixed gear Biking, how to ride properly? @heltonbiker - having never ridden a fixed-wheel bike, I'm curious as to the reasoning behind your comment. What about free-wheel bikes makes them seem that way? |

need cycling eyewear, but fogging is a big problem @robthewolf - I live in NE China. The elderly Chinese ride in all four seasons, they just ride slower in the cold. In fact, the only people who seem to give up are the guys with nice bikes! :-) |

How to prepare oneself for riding in the snow? What about frozen lake riding makes it phenomenal? (I've never lake-ridden) |

Lock my bicycle on busy or quiet places? locking it up within the viewing area of CCTV would be helpful if it does get stolen |
