I love my tubies, but I only use glue.

comment How do I train for climbing in a relatively flat area?
"Use a turbo trainer (not possible for me)" - Why not? This has been a miracle worker for me (+ trainerroad/sufferfest)

comment Fixing hydraulic disk brakes, what to check first?
I went to the store to fix it, twice, but it keeps coming back. Can you clarify that statement? Who fixed it? What did they do? Why does it come back?

comment New to Drop bar Road Bike, severe upper back/neck pains
I recommend a full bike fit. I had severe pain between the shoulder blades on rides longer than an hour and the fitter made major adjustments to my stack and reach that made the pain go away completely.

Sure? Why wouldn't you?

comment Did SRAM change/update their 10 speed PowerLink?
By hand it is impossible. I think the manual says to stand on the pedal while holding the brakes. Either way, that's what works for me.

How were you trying to close it? Mine wouldn't close unless I stood on the pedal while holding the brakes. Getting it off is another story.

comment Can I approximate how much air pressure is lost from disconnecting the hose?
You should start by calibrating your pump. You can't improve the precision, but you can improve the accuracy.

See the threads? Untwist it.

comment Magnetic trainer failure
I assumed they were machined aluminum and not cast. Either way, I'd expect stress cracks at the mounting hole and not in the center of the disk.

comment Why use multiple materials on chainrings?
Right. I forgot about the torque. Damn you torque!

comment Why use multiple materials on chainrings?
Considering that you can stand in any ring, I'd surmise that the maximum force applied to either ring could be the same. The smaller ring has less teeth and less chain contact, so there could be a greater force applied per tooth in the smaller ring.

comment Are all ready-made wheels sold “cassette compatible” only?
I built Roger Munson's stand for $15 in parts, plus some cardboard for the dish gauge.
