It is impossible to drink a gallon of milk in an hour.

I have done so.

Therefore, I can do the impossible.

While the specific tire sizes in the duplicate question are different, its answers are still applicable to this question.

comment Can a double loop cable stand up to cable cutters?
@B1KMusic That's not always an option. Sometimes you have to lock it. Anyway, this comment thread is getting long and we're veering off point. I realize that's totally my fault for starting this discussion in the first place, but we should wrap it up.

comment Can a double loop cable stand up to cable cutters?
@Johnny Oh, no doubt. No single factor makes a bike safe. It's a combination of stuff. And even in the best of situations, bikes still get stolen.

@Unsliced I didn't know a "van" was different in the UK than it is in the US. What do you call the vehicle that we in the US call a van, i.e., a passenger vehicle that typically seats 8-10 people?

I've noticed that your only two posts on this site have been about this bike rack. Are you affiliated with this company? If so, you must disclose your affiliation within each of your answers. We also tend to frown on self promotion. Continuing to engage in promotional activities will likely result in your posts being marked as spam and deleted.

@PeteH I actually read the question as asking what gearing the OP needs. I assumed that a "normal bike" was some kind of cruiser based on the speeds he or she is talking about.

comment About join a bicycle race
We really need more detail to give you a good answer. What type of race are you talking about? Road? Mountain? Cyclocross? What distance? Over what distance can you maintain the speed that you mention? What do you mean by a "normal bike"? Road? Mountain? Hybrid? Is it the same bike you'll use in the race? What constitutes bad conditions? Poor road or trail surface? Heavy head winds? Rain? Up a mountain? The day after you've over trained? Some combination? Please edit these details into your question.
