comment Specs for parts on Giant Defy 4 (2013) to decide on upgrades to transfer parts onto another bike
Weight savings would depend entirely on what parts you have and what parts you're replacing them with. There's no way to estimate that without direct comparison. If you find answers (and questions, for that matter) on this site helpful, it's customary to upvote or accept them so that others know that the answer was helpful. Check out our tour for more info. Also, it's perfectly acceptable to answer your own question.

comment How do i figure out the maker of my bike?
Serial numbers aren't very useful in bicycle identification. Photos help a lot more, especially close ups of any logos, designs, etc.

Could you please clarify your question? Is it about tire pressure specifically? Or are you just asking for general training advice?

Welcome to Bicycles SE. To avoid confusion, please try to keep your questions concise and on point. For example, the info about your bike getting stolen, the bus strike, and the fact that you're a college student are all irrelevant to your question. Also, please try to only ask one question at at time. In this case, you are asking at least five different questions, and one of those has subquestions. Try splitting them up into completely separate questions. You'll get much better answers that way. You'll also be less likely to be downvoted and/or flagged for mod intervention.

comment Does anyone have experience with wooden saddles?
Welcome to Bicycles SE. Product recommendations are off topic for this site. However, the core of your question was solid, so I have removed the portions asking for specific product recommendations. If you feel that I have changed the nature of your question, fell free to revert the edits.

comment bike grease got on my wall. best way to get it off?
The OP desires to remove grease from a wall. I think it is safe to assume that he or she does not want to remove the paint. Hence, Acetone would be a problem. Using WD-40 for removal of rust and oxidized terminals is irrelevant to the question.
