What's the correct term for a 700x23c disc wheel? @Mac The On One Pompetamine, it comes in black and white (I was specifically looking for white). The Kona P2 was another option, in black only, but it comes in a few variations for wheel size and also has canti versions. |

What's the correct term for a 700x23c disc wheel? That wheel does look like it could do the trick. I think I might have to ask a new question about the quality I can expect from various price ranges. |

What's the correct term for a 700x23c disc wheel? @WTHarper so I should just be searching for a 700c (or 29er) wheel and then looking at the specific specs? Is disc wheel or disc hub wheel still the right term? |

What's the correct term for a 700x23c disc wheel? Yeah, I mentioned about the fork already. It's easier if my front and rear wheels have the same tires than having to buy different widths. |

What is the proper technique for crossing railroad tracks? If you have a quick release wheel make sure nobody has tampered with it each time you ride. I had someone do that to my bike in high school and had the front wheel come off crossing the tracks. |

What kind of pump do I need for this valve? In this case, I'd definitely need an adapter. I opened the valve, tried pushing it in again and ended up deflating the tire entirely. |

Are Merrell Barefoot shoes suitable for bike touring? And that is not a problem either. No foot pain, no numbness, no bruising. If you're experiencing that, it's your feet, not that flexible soled shoes are unsuitable. |

Unconventional, pretty bicycle helmets I wouldn't worry about hot and humid. If you're sweating a lot, wear a headband to keep it out of your eyes, and your bike probably has an attachment for a water bottle. Use it. The less ventilation, the more safe it is if you get in a crash. I only go for the helmets that BMX riders and downhill racers wear. I got my girlfriend a colourful one. |

Onguard U-lock jammed I've read about this problem in reviews of OnGuard locks on Amazon, so it's likely a design flaw with rust as a possible culprit. I haven't read about any solutions to it, beyond renting a power grinder to cut the lock off so you can buy a better one next time. That was one of the reasons I chose not to buy OnGuard, the other reason is one key fron an OnGuard lock fits multiple locks, which would allow a bike thief to walk around with a large key ring trying several keys until one of them works (the cheaper Kryptonite locks also have this problem). |

Front wheel getting misaligned while climbing hills I haven't straddled it facing backwards, but I do fix it by squeezing the wheel with my knees and re-aligning the wheel to match the handlebars. I'll definitely be taking it back to the shop. |
