I work as an Environmental Engineer making tools for clients to track their environmental compliance. I develop mostly in Access, Excel, VBA, SQL, C# (usually for my own fun) and some other niche domain programs.
I ride my bike to work as much as possible and have been bike commuting for several years now.
I mountain bike on weekends and just learned to sail!

Benefits of toe grips/toe straps @jimirings having the tire spin out is half the fun though! And if you fall it's all part of the game. |

Benefits of toe grips/toe straps Being able to add that extra bit of power on a slippery uphill is while clipped in is very helpful. Not only the power but I feel like I am able to retain my balance better. |

Why does my bike make a noise when I pedal hard? Where do you live? Did it happen in warm weather? If it is cold where you are does it happen only when your bike moves from your warm home/apartment to the cold outdoors then goes away after a while? |

What steps should I follow to patch a tube? Is the leak in fact form the same hole or did you accidentally pinch a new hole when you put the tube back on the rim/tire? |

How can I warm up/cook food while cycling? Depending on how hard you're riding you could put the food in your pants. :) it'll get decently warm. (use a plastic bag through) |

Cycle training to prepare for first racing season I don't know what I was thinking when I read this 2 weeks ago. It makes sense. |

Cycle training to prepare for first racing seasongoing above 85% of my max heart rate? Did you mean to say going 85% of my max heart rate? The first one sounds like a heart attack. |

Cycle training to prepare for first racing season FYI I'm using the "Schwinn 20-Function Bike Computer" and it's great. Thin wire, has pretty much everything you need without going overboard. And I got it for less than 15 $. So a bike computer can be replaced for pretty cheap. |

Why do i have a cramp? The next question is...have you ever been hungover before? Because drinking tequila then exercising the next day usually sucks. |

for a single-speed conversion, is it always necesary to change bottom bracket? Why does that tensioner not recommend you use it with a fixed gear bike? Does that affect this plan ion any way? |

What tricks do you use to avoid damaging cables when adjusting the gears? some derailleur clamps have a little notch through which the cable can pass that minimizes the amount of squishing. I don't know if yours is made like that but if it is be sure to line it up in the notch. |

Do skilled cyclists really “use the front brake alone probably 95% of the time”? The question is not "which is capable of providing the most possible power" but "which do you use most". How often are you in need of 100% of the friction of both brakes? |
