Badly rusted suspension fork @Kaz Suspension can be good, yes. But cheap suspension is worse than a rigid fork. By the way rigid for being antediluvial, ever seen suspension in road bikes? |

Why are bike frames getting so much bigger You are comparing a touring bike to a road bike and wonder that it's beefier? |

What is the optimal cadence? The optimal cadence is what you feel comfortable with the most. |

Badly rusted suspension fork That it goes up and down does not mean it serves any purpose besides going up and down. Below-low-end suspension (I mean rust, common, even low end forks don't rust) only eats up energy that you otherwise could have put into forward motion, destroys your back and look cool. I'd go for a rigid fork, too. |

Buying a bicycle shopping recommendations are off topic anyway, as they are never in any way constructive and wont help future visitors. |

Helmet to reduce sweating In the way it is asked at the moment it clearly is a shopping request and thus off topic. It might become a nice question though with an appropriate edit. |

Is it possible to repair a dent on an aluminium frame? Repairing and a new paint job would probably as expensive as a new frame (depending on the material of course, but it's Aluminium here, which is not easy to weld). |

Velodrome atmospheric conditions Of course, I confused humidity and aridity. |

Velodrome atmospheric conditions Would be nice to know what very warm and humid means in numbers. My first guess would be, that it is around 25°C and the humidity aids the cooling because sweat can evaporate easier. Another thought is that it is for preventing the material the track is made of from "working" because of the changes in temperature and humidity. If this claim is true at all… |

Brakes, rims or seatpole The question is far too broad to receive a good answer and is a basically shopping recommendation which are off topic on most stack exchange sites. |

What is the 3 foot law and which states have it? Just checked wikipedia, in Germany the "Sicherheitsabstand" (safety distance) is 1.5m (5 feet) to bikes and motorbikes. But only 1m to cars. |

What is the 3 foot law and which states have it? Germany has something like this, too. I am not sure if it is a recommendation or a law, but most people abide it anyway. |
