I was lucky enough to have started with a C-64 when I was a kid, then progressed to Borland Turbo Pascal, followed by Turbo C. I really became interested in programming after getting access to my university's VAX/VMS system in the late eighties. I became a UNIX head for about 15 years doing python, perl, c, c++, and lots of j2ee stuff - mostly on Solaris, Linux, Oracle. I enjoy stackoverflow :-)
