I love Jesus, classical music, history, and Italian food, in that order. I also enjoy studying math.

I've been playing music for about five years now and I am proficient on the cornet and the recorder. I also play a little piano on the side.

comment When the the caliper brakes are applied, the pads barely move at all
I haven't been able to take another look at the bike yet, but I'll let you know when I do and if this worked. Thanks.

The cables aren't rusted from what I can see (but I can't see the encased portion). They could be worn out.

comment Rear wheel wobbles
The wheel is out of true. What you need is a spoke wrench at the minimum to true it. This basically means that some spokes are either too tight or too loose. A truing stand could also be handy if it is within your budget.

comment Attach bottle cage to frame w/o mount screws
Although there are many good answers here, I think I'm just going to go with a bolted cage and a clamped adapter in the end.

That's not a bad idea. Have you tried this yourself? Is it a durable solution?

comment Attach bottle cage to frame w/o mount screws
+1 Nice answer, but since my main objective in getting a bolted cage was to save money, the tool needed might bake it a bit counterproductive. Helpful answer, though. Thanks

Would I have to replace the gears if I replaced the whole cartridge?

Air horns are illegal in some areas.
