comment Quick Release on Fixed Gear Bike
Most likely, yes. You may have to seek out the more experienced employee, I'd start with the mechanics, in order to find someone that has experience with identifying steel threads, steel teeth, etc. You always run the risk of running into an employee that doesn't have much experience. Worst case scenario they lie and sell you a quick release that isn't what you're asking for. In which case, post photos of it here asking for help identifying the materials. You get the idea.

comment Can I replace my bicycle's dynamo with batteries?
Maybe worry a little bit, just out of an abundance of caution.

comment Disk brake squealing after bike shop changed my pads. Is it enough reason to ask them to re-service (for free)?
Ah yes, be sure to use good pads, don't assume the shop used nice ones.

comment Are there sirens/horns that are like a car horn?
'cyclists are not often noticed' Sometimes miles out of the way is a fine alternative to being 6 feet under ground.

It sounds like you should just find a less stressful route.
