Will a bike stand that holds one wheel damage my bike? If you have disc brakes I would be much more concerned about the discs than about the spokes. Depending on the size of those bars they may reach between the spokes and the disc and if you hit by accident your bike in a way that you press the disc against the bars of the stand you may bend it. |

Does riding with suspension locked do any harm long term Maybe you will find some hints over there: bicycles.stackexchange.com/q/14730/5271 |

Are these chainrings the reason my chain skips/hops? From the form of the teeth I would guess that chain skipping may be much worse on the bigger ring. Maybe you also want to look at bicycles.stackexchange.com/q/12726/5271 where there are already some explanations why this happens. |

Question about chain re-attaching @DanielRHicks It's true that this only affects Shimano chains but as they are quite common and the question did not contain any reference to what chain was used, I thought it shouldn't be left unmentioned. Thanks also for the clarification concerning pins and bolts! |

Question about chain re-attaching It should also be noted that the bolts of most chains are not designed to be reused. That means a bolt, that has been pushed out to open the chain should not be used to link the chain again. There are special bolts for closing chains which are normally supplied with a new chain or can be bought separately at bike shops for a few cents. Closing a chain with an already used bolt may introduce a predefined breaking point into the chain. |
