My main occupation is to debug cruft I write in my free time.
That is, after struggling to stay alive.
Here you can see my beekeeping stackexchange proposal - interested?

Can I ride home with a broken spoke? I'm surprised no one mentioned 3 spoked wheels, so I had to do that :) |

Were these bearings defective? @WTHarper I quickly skimmed through it, without finding an answer. It's very interesting though, thanks for sharing, +1 |

How much of a difference will I notice going from a Mountain bike to a road bike? Simply put, and assuming the bicycles are of comparable quality, it will be like going from a tractor to a Ferrari. |

Why ride a fixed-gear bike? +1 For daring to say the truth. One shouldn't dare: people won't like it. |

Shimano Sora shifter having trouble in the snow What happens if you try again indoors? Do they behave in a similar fashion? |

How do you shift your weight when leaning on a turn? I'm trying different solutions, I might also write an answer with my experience later. For now, I want to share with you that brake+turn is pretty nasty. I tried it this morning and it was like one moment the sky, one moment later the earth... :) |

How can I warm up/cook food while cycling? I think the new title better conveys the question. |

Topeak Explorer Tubular Rack two versions confusion Totally approve the above comment. Should you get TA2042-B for your 700c commuter would result in unneeded, excessive clearance between the tyre/mudguard and the rack. |

How can you speed a road-bike up? @naught101 I agree with you, it seems to me that once you are at speed, the mass of the wheel is irrelevant. However it is often the case that you have to accelerate with your bicycle, after a sharp turn or a granny crossing. In all those cases, mass is an important factor. |

Failing to unscrew BB - what now? I might also want to overly stress how Sheldon Brown's website is the sacred book for a bicycle mechanic, both experts and wanna-be like who's writing. |

Failing to unscrew BB - what now? In any case this is a good lesson that you have learned. If you have aluminum components, lubricate before installing and periodically (e.g. yearly) check them by uncrewing partially/partially removing. Good luck! |
