comment Trouble with spiral folding bike lock - jammed
+1 for penetrating lubricant, I use a tiny squirt of this stuff every 6 months when the mechanism gets stiff on my lock which is used outside. abuspadlocksonline.co.uk/abus-lock-lubricant.html

comment Is it OK for a child's bike to have a radially-laced rear wheel?
The similar Cnoc14 has 1-cross spokes, so it can be done, but I guess it doesn't make much difference. islabikes.co.uk/products/bikes/item/cnoc-14

comment Is it difficult for one person to ride a tandem bike?
Great answer. The main point to watch out for is that the rear brake will be almost useless without the weight of a stoker. With a stoker it's better than the rear brake of a solo.

@Kibbee. I looked at one in a shop and they really don't cross. Checking this image you can see the gap. i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/iwUAAOSw5VFWK6HV/$_57.JPG

comment What pressure should I run my Road Bike tyres at?
I don't know about the cornering, but I see a lot of good information in this answer. I presume none of us have done the science ourselves, but according to Jan Heine, very high pressures are only faster on a perfectly smooth surface. With any kind of bumps, suspension losses come into play. janheine.wordpress.com/2010/10/18/…
