Evaluate hill gradient Barometric GPS (such as the Garmin Edge 500 has) can vary wildly as the weather (pressure) changes. It's usually OK relative to the start of a ride, but yesterday it had me at the same point 190m @ 8am and 300m @ 5pm. Usually you can manually set them to a known start point, if you can be bothered. |

How do you protect your bike from scratches? @DanielRHicks, unless it's carbon. Don't hit carbon with a hammer. :-) |

shaving your legs, arms, or both? Interesting, but doesn't answer the question regarding arms. |

Rear derailleur hits spokes when switching to largest sprocket Yes, this would still be useful for the next person who comes along with a similar problem. |

Is there anything I can do to prevent snakebites (pinch flats)? Also check the rim tape. |

Is there anything I can do to prevent snakebites (pinch flats)? Average weight riders shouldn't need as much as the max psi on the sidewall. |

Whatever happened to solid bike tubes? Not everyone needs 100psi plus. bikequarterly.com/images/TireDrop.pdf (PDF) |
