comment Why won't tires go on my Velocity A23 rims?
Schwalbe Marathon tyres can be very tough to fit on many different rims, probably because the thick puncture proof layer. It does depend on what size tyre and what size rim. But once its fitted, it shouldn't need removing any time soon.

Yes, waiting a while can get you a good price. Though don't wait too long, otherwise parts may be discontinued, and become harder to find and more expensive.

comment What's the cheapest way to get into training with power?
Or you can use free software, Golden Cheetah can do virtual power. So you don't need to pay for TrainerRoad. You would still need to buy a suitable trainer, and ANT+ sensors.

comment Quick Release on Fixed Gear Bike
It is possible to use a chain tug with forward-facing dropouts. Though it depends on the shape of the dropouts, and design of the chain tugs. Some may need modification to fit. The Surly Hurdy Gurdy is specifically designed for forward-facing dropouts. surlybikes.com/parts/drivetrain/hurdy_gurdy
