comment Would Lowering my Handlebars Help my Performance?
Adjust for FIT would definitely seem to be the first thing to do. My general observation is that fit on a Hybrid bike tends to get a 'not that important' from most LBS's as they only think in terms of seat height on those bikes when in reality the same main fit parameters from road/cx bikes: saddle fore/aft position, saddle height and reach exist for Hybrids.

comment Vista Sport Vintage Bicycle
Would be awesome seeing a Vista Sport on the line next to the all those carbon fiber machines.

comment What are the benefits of removable presta valve cores?
First, a disclosure: Michelin is one of the sponsors of my race team. While the normal Michelin Airstop tubes don't have removal cores, their latex tubes do. And Michelin does make tubular road tires, the Pro 4 Tubular which has a latex tube sewn in.

Is the wheel seated 100% straight into the rear dropouts?

comment Buying cheap now or saving for later?
Its getting a little bit late in the season but also look for any local bike swaps. Also, many areas have Facebook groups for used bikes/bike parts that are good sources of used bikes, the only problem is finding the group on FB.

comment When to replace a tire?
Yes, small bits of stone, glass and metal that might have just caused a small cut to the surface of a tire will start penetrating all the way through the tire. This usually happens to me when I do silly things like using fast wearing race tires for everyday riding.

comment How often should I refresh the sealant in tubeless tires?
You don't want to wait until the tire stops holding air as you want to make sure you have enough active sealant to plug any small leaks/penetrations that occur while you are riding.

Ugh, bottom bracket issues like that are such a pain to puzzle out.

@Nik I added the illustration from the Sram manual that shows where the chain gap is measured to my answer.

comment Is it necessary to buy a special tool to open the chain lock
Interesting, I've never even tried taking one of these links apart by hand, will have to try it. I have had to replace one in the field after it blew apart but never thought about the potential need to actually take an unbroken one apart while out on a ride.
