I'm fund-raising for the Tour for Kids, a four day ride in southern Ontario coming up in August. One hundred percent of every donation goes directly to the kids, improving the quality of life for kids living with cancer; Nothing is shaved off for administration/other ride costs. What kind of tail lights can I attach to the rear of my rack? I was looking specifically for light suggestions. I'd rather find a light that fits the rack than try to graft something on after the fact. |

Would silica gel inside my bike frame be effective in preventing corrosion? I had planned on hanging from a string from my seat post, but if it's going to be useless for more than a small quantity if water I guess that's not a great solution. |

Does a typical floor pump have an integrated one-way valve? Sorry, I meant it is not one-way in the way that the question implied. It's not a case of simply increasing the PSI outside the valve until air flows into the tube, the valve must be opened and then air is free to flow in either direction. |

Does a typical floor pump have an integrated one-way valve? The valve on your bike tyre is not one-way. Your pump must necessarily have a built-in one-way valve. |

Why ride a fixed-gear bike? My bike is every bit as quiet as a fixed-gear bike while I'm pedaling. It's only more noisy than a fixed-gear while I'm coasting, which I think is a pretty fair trade. |

I wish to get fit, therefore should I have a heavy bike? @JayBazuzi I am living, breathing proof that "can't keep it off part" simply is not true. I'm 70 pounds lighter than I was in college. Losing the weight had virtually nothing to do with exercise and everything to do with diet though. |

Clip-on to temporarily convert Look pedal to stand-on style? I find the problem with this is (depending on how high you have your tension set) it can be very hard to twist the "pedal" out of the clip. When you twist your foot free, the entire weight of your leg is behind it. Twisting the platform out of the clip with out a large handle to grab onto might be difficult. |

Is there any reason to keep original drive-train components together until they can all be replaced? Bought a new chain and tried it - no issues so far, and no skipping even under extreme load. |
