I'm fund-raising for the Tour for Kids, a four day ride in southern Ontario coming up in August. One hundred percent of every donation goes directly to the kids, improving the quality of life for kids living with cancer; Nothing is shaved off for administration/other ride costs. How do you decide your route to commute to work? I always choose the downhill route, there and back. |

Best bike lock This ultimately relies on a cable to prevent somebody from simply walking away with your bike or throwing it in the back of a truck, which makes it pretty useless in my opinion. |

What's the most efficient riding style for losing weight? Consider reading up on interval training. "Slow pace for a long time" and "high pace for a short time" are not your only (or best) options. |

Should I oil my seat post? As an aside, I have some fairly thick Wet Ride chain oil for winter cycling; is this an appropriate oil to use for the seat post? |

How to make studded tires Just had the snowiest day in our city's history, going to try my hand at this tonight. Hopefully, come tomorrow morning, I'll have a functional bike and not two ruined tires :) |

How do I remove rust from my seat tube? It's meant to be used inside the frame? It's not going to serve as a lubricant and cause my seat post to slip down inside the seat tube when jarred? |

Android/EVO bike mount recommendations @Ian Agree with @freiheit. It's no more dangerous than a speedometer or GPS. |

Safety data: Which is safer, head/tail lights which blink or emit a steady beam? Thanks for the links to hard data, that's really what I was looking for. |

Safety data: Which is safer, head/tail lights which blink or emit a steady beam? @neilfein Looks good, except I don't generally like to duplicate tags (safety) in the title. |
