Cycle commuter and occasional tourist for over 20 years. Bought a sub-10kg road bike in Spring 2011 and greatly enjoying it - can't believe how much difference a few kilos makes.

@wdypdx22 i take your point, but the Tour de France doesn't enter the mountains in the first week. This year there were 4 non-time-trial stages (3-6) with no mountain stage (or time trials) that day or the next.
