I'm an experienced bike commuter and touring cyclist. I have passions for folding bikes, drawing and painting, and playing my guitars. I'm often seen hauling groceries with or taking photos from my bike. I'm also a musician, and my band also has released a couple of albums.

comment Fort bicycles company from Czech Republic: Where are the steel frames? Company renamed?
This question would be better answered by contacting the company. Kibbee's comment has a link to the company website.

comment Why did my tire just blow up?
Welcome to Bicycles! This is a bit of an odd situation, and I'll be interested in hearing the answer - this happens more often with riding or shortly after inflating a tire. I agree with @whatsisname - more information will help us give you a better answer.

comment Are New York pedestrians allowed to use bike lanes?
@RitchMelton - Yes, I'd agree that keeping the bike lane clear would make for a much better question.

comment Are New York pedestrians allowed to use bike lanes?
@DVK - Fair question. First off, I was a mod here at the time. Mods have to be more careful with their opinions, as their off-topic "votes" are binding. It's a completely different situation. But if my opinion irks you, take comfort in that nobody else seems to share it so far. (Tangentially - Looking back on this, I am now of the opinion that both questions are too localized, but the community here has voted to allow that.)

comment Are New York pedestrians allowed to use bike lanes?
This question appears to be off-topic because it is about the legality of walking in a bike lane and not about cycling. Outside of cycling advocacy activities, playing the blame game doesn't relate to riding a bike.

comment Does the term “domestique” have negative connotations?
This is more about language than cycling; it could get a more accurate answer on English Language and Usage.

This question appears to be off-topic because it is about electronics more than bicycles or riding.

comment What's an “Auto-Mini” folding bike? Can I use one for decades without having to replace the frame?
Spending $100 - $200 on a folding bike won't get you quality of any sort. Folding bikes with quality frames are significantly more expensive. You may want to save up for a bit before buying, or find a way to get a non-folding bike. Also, just a friendly tip: Complaining that you're not being upvoted is not going to get you upvotes.

comment reliable bike shifting
@cherouvim - Good question. This sounds like it could be a problem with shifting technique as easily as it could be a mechanical problem.
