comment Why use zip ties on Wald baskets?
I've never seen this, but that's not to say it doesn't exist. To give this question some context, can you provide some links?

@WillVousden I think you'd also attract police attention with that.

comment How can I protect components from being stolen off my bike?
@KevinFegan sorry, I don't recall if there was a picture. Maybe look up the listing in Internet archives?

comment Why don't cyclists wear all-encompassing motorcycle-style helmets?
@kifli Because this isn't a question about the effectiveness of helmets. The question states that quite clearly.

This was a good answer until the anti helmet rant started. - 1.

comment How far can one cycle without food?
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it isn't about cycling, it's a medical/biology question.

comment How can one prevent a tube from sticking to the inside of a tire?
Because a clean bike is a happy bike. Also, because of this.

comment Pressure mapping a Brooks saddle
@zenbike - I didn't appreciate that it was rider-specific; I see your point now. Perhaps there's a way to edit so it's useful to OP but less specific?

comment Pressure mapping a Brooks saddle
@zenbike If this were some oddball brand of saddle I'd agree with you. But Brooks saddles are incredibly common. Respectfully, I think this would be generally useful. (Whether the question would be answered is another question.)

comment Pressure mapping a Brooks saddle
@zenbike I disagree; I think answers to this question would be useful to many cyclists who use Brooks saddles. I'm voting to repoen, but would be happy to discuss.

comment Can i fit a 6 speed wheel onto a 5 speed bike?
It may also be necessary to get a new derailer (if the bike uses one) and, if the shifters are indexed, new shifters. At the very least adjustments will be needed to both of these items.

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because this question can be answered by looking at the product specs. We're a Q&A site, not product tech support.

comment Is bike fit really needed?
4. Research bike fit yourself and adjust your bike accordingly. It won't be as good as a pro fitting, but it's definitely better than nothing.

comment Looking for advice on upgrading
This question is kinda vague as it is now. Can you clarify what you want from the bike? More speed? Better hill climbing?

comment What is the best method to teach a young child to ride?
You can also remove the pedals from a regular bike and lower the saddle a bit to get more or less the same effect.
