comment If I can't find the hole causing a flat tire, do I need to replace the tube?
You must have fat tyres if you need a swimming pool. A bucket usually does for me.

comment What causes a tube to become deflated on its own?
I don't know about 48 hours. I have 120psi tyres and only need to pump them every month or so, even though they get ridden every day, and the tubes are old and full of patches. But maybe if that's true if you spend big bucks on lightweight tubes.

comment What is a good replacement for a cable end cap?
I used to do that too. But then I paid like $2 on ebay for a bag of a couple of hundred end caps, so I'm pretty much sorted for life now.

comment Smartphone mounted on handlebar: Will vibrations during cycling damage it?
I've now graduated to a swank new holder I made out of perspex (with a clear plastic and gaffer tape cover I can put on it when it rains)

@tdc "How did they go so blinking fast in 1960!?" Drugs, and lots of 'em of course.

Looking at your third largest cog on the cassette it looks badly worn. That won't stop you changing gears, but it could mean trouble when you do.

comment What to do when there's no more adjustment room on disc brakes
It's a good tip for people who have the opposite problem to me, but I needed the rotor to go toward the wheel - or the calliper to go away from the wheel.
