What should I look for in a mountain bike for doing BMX-style balancing tricks? This is interesting ... the lack of suspension on the CCM would have made the front lighter, but the standover was greater and the headangle about the same. |

Nope, I'm specifically looking for something to distinguish riding on the back wheel from merely pulling up the front wheel (wheelie) and stopping on it (manual). shufler's answer captures this distinction, so I'm just looking for other words for it at this point. What should I look for in a mountain bike for doing BMX-style balancing tricks? @lantius I'm more interested in theory, but as noted if I got a new bike it would be a mountain bike. I'd use it for both casual riding and the occasional muddy-trail-hell race. |
