Was watching in the gym while exercising so didn't have the best view, but the roads appeared amazingly smooth -- no visible cracks, and what appeared to be very fine asphalt. I'm guessing that France (and the local communities) put a lot of pride (and money) into these roads, making it possible to run tires that appeared to be maybe 15mm wide. | |
