Mar 12, 2019 at 21:13 comment added Rider_X @DavidRicherby I agree in principle, but I have also heard some claim that even smooth roads are not that "smooth" and we should be running lower pressures than is common practice. That said, an empirical goal would be to set the pressure just prior to the break point, as there won't be much of a comfort gain below this pressure, and rolling resistance would be at its lowest.

On the other hand, if the roads are that smooth, you probably won't even need to drop the pressure to get a comfortable ride.
